The IP Flow Product
IP Flow is a database containing information on millions of companies around the globe. The database is used for B2B marketing purposes, such as direct mail, verification, and control of customer data. It is also used to update our clients’ customer databases, and for the purpose of analysis.
Purpose and legal ground
The purpose of is to provide products and services within B2B marketing (address selections), and to verify and update our clients’ customer records in their databases (verification and control). IP Flow bases its processing on balancing different interests, with an overarching view that commercial interest outweighs the data subject’s interest to protect its data. It is also our view that the rights and freedoms of the data subjects will not be impacted by this processing. IP Flow’s aim of is a legitimate interest that, according to GDPR, gives a right to process personal information based on balancing different interests. It is in the interest of the data subject to receive direct marketing from other companies that are relevant to their professional role.
Controller
IP Flow is the controller of the personal data contained in the company database.
Categories of personal data
While IP Flow only processes IP addresses registered to businesses, this could include the IP address of partnerships and sole traders, which constitutes as personal data.
How we Process Data
IP Flow has an in-house data verification team that is responsible for ensuring the validity and currency of the business data contained within the IP Flow solution. The team continually cleanses the data held within the IP Flow software, completing a full cleanse cycle of the business data at least once every 12 months. Any records found to be out of date are placed into a cleanse/deletion queue, which is securely purged four times in a 12 month period.
The data verification team uses manual methods, as well as automated scripts and algorithms, via an extensive multi-staged process to ensure the utmost validity and currency of data. IP Flow takes data cleansing extremely seriously as this ensures a highly compliant and high-caliber solution for all IP Flow customers.
Data Storage, Retention & Subcontractors
IP Flow uses subcontractors (processors), which, for example, may process personal data on behalf of IP Flow.
The data held within IP Flow is processed and stored in a secure environment.
IP Flow has a continual cycle of cleansing and refreshing data. All data within the IP Flow solution is verified at least once in a 12 month cycle. Any invalid records are placed into a deletion queue, which is then securely purged four times in a 12 month period.
